Joyce Lao

Founder

Joyce Lao is a New York based performer, writer and creative director. She has produced, acted and written a few short films that have been screened in the film festival circuit. Her Directorial debut, “Hecuba” won Runner – up as Best Ensemble and Best Director at the Ancient Drama Festival 2012. She also won Best Performance of an Ensemble for the musical "Alien Adventure- The Adventure" written by Jon Freda for her performance as Capt. Duda  at the Midtown International Theater Festival Awards in 2014. Her last original work, "Behind the Wall-An Autism Performance Piece" with Andy Miyamotto at the NYC Fringe Festival 2015 was well received and is in the process of development to be shown on tour. As an artist and performer, she is geared towards original work, she also has the passion to help and promote other talents - most especially multi-talented people of color and of Asian descent. This passion turned into a vision and therefore founded The Ally Artists Group (www.allyartists.com) . She attended The Juilliard School for Vocal Arts, Baruch College for Arts Administration, Stella Adler and HB Studios for Acting. She is also a member of SAG-AFTRA, AEA and BMI. 

Aside from her performance and production credits, she is also a choir director, a music and a movement teacher with over 10 years of relevant experience. Her career as a Teaching artist led her to travel and teach in different countries.

 

Zilong Zee

Zilong Zee is an actor, singer, dancer and producer.  Zilong grew up in China. After discovering his love for acting and music he moved to Paris and attended the European acting school “Cours Florent”.  While in France, Zilong appeared in a variety of French theater, concert and TV shows, independent films, music television videos, as well as commercials for Pepsi and Amnesty International. Zilong came to New York to study Musical Theater in 2011.

 

 His main focus is performing pop music, musical theater, plays, film and television. He has starred in several independent films in New York and many are currently playing in the festival circuit. His short film "Will Of Fortune" has been accepted into 67th Annual Cannes Film Festival for the Short Film Corner. Zilong has also got nominated as "BEST ACTOR" in Asians on film festival in Los Angles, 2015. He also worked with TONY-AWARDS nominated "Best Director" Marcia Milgrom Dodge in Maltz Jupiter Theater for the new version of the Broadway hit " The King & I". He has a commitment to cultural diversity and performed the opening number of  2013's  "Taste of France" exclusive cabaret show in Bryant Park, Manhattan.
