The Young Artist (formerly known as AAGE)

Enrichment and After school Programs

We are passionate about performing arts education and we want to share our love for music, movement and theatre in New York. The Ally Artists Group was first established in 2012.

Mental, social and physical development of the young child is the specialty of our enrichment activities. Our Music, movement, and theater programs are age-appropriate. Our classes include speech, movement, puppetry, mime, music appreciation, development of the imagination, self-confidence and social development. Each class teaches theatre drills, vocal enhancement and movement skills.

Music - our teaching methods and techniques are combinations of Kodaly, Suzuki, Orff, Dalcroze, Conversational Solfege as well as other modern methods that are proven and widely used in the United States and all over the world.

Theatre - we have developed a way to teach the major schools of acting such as Stanislavsky (including three of his most prominent students' methods - Meisner, Adler and Starsberg), Artaudin, Chekov and Spolin in a fun and engaging way.

We use props and visual teaching aids in each class. Some classes will require at-home preparation and homework.

We also try our best to share our knowledge with child-care centers that cannot afford an Afterschool or Enrichment Program. Our teachers volunteer some of their free time to such centers in case to case basis. We believe that the arts should be experienced by everyone!
